Björk is Back!

Björk is – from far – one of the most influential female artists for me. Not only with her exquisite voice, her amazing music skills, the light years ahead on her choices for electronic music artists to collaborate (ex: Matmos), the long partnership with Michel Gondry and M/M Paris, and the long list of amazing directors and stylists she was able to get involved. She’s now one step further with her Crystalline app album.

The idea itself doesn’t seems too innovative, as some other small artists also tried something similar, but the way Björk is doing it is the right way. Involving the user in an immersive environment and also adding in-app improvements, Biophilia is a very nice way of approaching the new mobile generation people.
