Flying Lotus TRIGGER
Today, mad beat scientist Flying Lotus introduces Trigger, a cool new web app designed to reward anyone who paid money for his 2010 album Cosmogramma. It works like this: You take a webcam pic of your CD or vinyl copy of Cosmogramma, or of the PDF booklet that came with your iTunes, Boomkat, or Bleep copy. The app uses image-recognition technology to recognize the evidence that you own Cosmogramma and gives you a download in return. That download includes alternate versions of Cosmogramma tracks and album outtakes. It’s an innovative way to thank fans who help the artist pay his rent.
